TRANSFER TO AND FROM

PERITO MORENO GLACIER

DEPARTURE TIME: To be arranged (we suggest 8:30 a.m.). We will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the journey to the Perito Moreno Glacier, located within Los Glaciares National Park, 84 km from the city of El Calafate.
We will travel through the Patagonian steppe along the shores of Lago Argentino. After entering the National Park, we’ll immerse ourselves in the Patagonian Andean forest of lengas and ñires, following the Brazo Rico, and finally reaching the walkways. Here, you can admire the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier, renowned worldwide for its rupture phenomenon and easy accessibility.
Due to its spectacular beauty, it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The return to El Calafate is approximately at 2:00 p.m., with a 3-hour stay at the site. The total trip duration, including round trip, is approximately 6 hours.

FROM YOUR HOTEL
We begin the 70 km journey to Puerto Bajo de las Sombras on the Brazo Rico of Lago Argentino, the starting point for trekking excursions on the Perito Moreno Glacier. From there, you’ll board a boat to cross to the opposite shore of the Península de Magallanes, a navigation lasting approximately 20 minutes. Upon disembarking, you’ll reach the shelter where specialized guides will lead the group.
The trek begins with a gradual ascent onto the glacier, covering approximately two hours with occasional stops for photography. The hike is moderate.
IMPORTANT
Due to the physical demands and terrain difficulty, this activity is only suitable for individuals aged 10 to 65 in good physical condition, considering a total walking time of around 4 hours on ice and forest. It is not recommended for individuals who are overweight.
NOT SUITABLE FOR
- Pregnant women
- Individuals with conditions that may pose risks of functional or organic deterioration during the trek
- Individuals with disabilities affecting coordination or motor skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
After returning from the excursion, we will head to the walkways for approximately two hours before returning to El Calafate. The departure time depends on the assigned schedule.
TOTAL DURATION: 9 to 10 hours.
PUERTO PUNTA BANDERA
(All Glaciers)

From your hotel in El Calafate, the journey begins around 7:30 / 7:45 a.m., covering 45 km to Puerto Punta Bandera on Lago Argentino, the starting point for the navigation, which begins at 9:00 a.m.

EL CHALTÉN FULL DAY
(Capri Lagoon)

We will pick you up at around 7:30 a.m. from your accommodation in El Calafate heading towards El Chaltén. We will travel along the shores of Lago Argentino until reaching the junction with National Route 40, which we will follow north. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the vast Lago Argentino and the Andes Mountains with their snow-capped peaks. The approximate travel time is 3 hours.
We will make a short stop at the National Parks Office, where you can get updated information about the condition of the trails.
The estimated return time is around 5:00 p.m..
EL CHALTEN FULL DAY
(Laguna de los Tres)

We will pick you up at around 7:30 a.m. from your accommodation in El Calafate, heading towards El Chaltén. The journey follows the shores of Lago Argentino until reaching the junction with National Route 40, which we will take north. Along the way, you will witness the vastness of Lago Argentino and the Andes Mountains with their snow-capped peaks. The approximate travel time is 3 hours.
We will make a brief stop at the National Parks Office, where you can get updates on the condition of the trails.
The estimated return time is around 6:30 p.m..
EL CHALTÉN
(One-Way or Return Transfer Only)

The departure time is pre-arranged, and we will pick you up from your accommodation, whether in El Calafate or El Chaltén.
We will make stops at the main viewpoints and Parador La Leona, approximately 90 km from El Calafate, an old country hotel where you can access restrooms and a café.
IMPORTANT:
If the transfer is from El Chaltén, please note that the trip takes approximately 2.5 hours. If you need a transfer from El Chaltén to El Calafate Airport, keep in mind the 2-hour check-in requirement requested by the airline.
